Respected Source: Everton confident of completing January deal for highly sought after talent

Everton players will still be glowing after the midweek defeat of Arsenal which will hopefully kickstart their season. They now face Liverpool at the weekend and another victory will have them flying into the Christmas programme.

But there is little doubt that this Everton side is a work in progress under new manager Ronald Koeman. The Dutchman is just a few months into the job and will surely have his eye on some more reinforcements in January.

And there could be good news to that end as latest report suggests that Everton have stolen a march on their rivals in the pursuit of the brilliant youngster Ademola Lookman.

British media outlet, The Independent, reports:

Toffees confident of completing £11m Ademola Lookman deal early in January window

Many of the transfer rumours leading up to January have suggested that Everton will look to replace the injured Yannick Bolasie on the flanks.

And Lookman could be the perfect solution as he is young enough to be prepared to sit out some big games on the bench but will be a superb and energetic option in the absence of Everton’s big summer signing.

The 19-year-old England U20 international, who has two caps for his country so far, has been an absolute revelation at Charlton since his debut in 2015.

He has played 42 league games for the club and scored nine goals from wide areas in that time.

Let’s see some of his better moments in his fledgling career so far. Everton fans: the perfect long-term addition with Bolasie currently out?
