TFF believes that clubs who do the bulk of their summer transfer business early tend to get a better start in the Premier League. Because the new players get more time to assimilate from the first day of pre-season training rather than coming at the last minute and having to adapt to new methods late in the day.
So if this theory is to hold true then Manchester City are in great shape for the Premier League title next season. They’ve already signed two top players and are now looking at their third major piece of business for the summer according to reports in England.
British media outlet, Sky Sports, reports:
Manchester City to begin talks with Tottenham over Kyle Walker move
Walker has to be one of the paciest right backs in the Premier League. He never stops running and would be a perfect player for the highly attacking Manchester City team under Pep Guardiola.
He’s got so much power and can score the odd goal as his 4 in 228 appearances for Tottenham demonstrates. He’s also nailed down that position as England’s number one right back over the last couple of years and seems to have got rid of the errors from his game which pockmarked an otherwise brilliant early career.
Tottenham will not want to sell the player of this calibre but the will of the footballer is paramount these days and if Walker wants to go to Manchester City then we can’t see anything getting in his way.
