Not Bravo: Manchester City set to make yet another signing

The Mirror reports today that Manchester City aren’t finished with their summer spend on outfield players and are set to complete another deal imminently.

They write:

Manchester City are set to carry on their summer spending with a £10m deal for Dynamo Zagreb teenager Ante Coric.

The 19-year-old midfielder still has a lot to learn but such has been his development that he has already made 2 appearances for the Croatia national side and was selected in the final 23 for EURO 2016 without actually getting on the pitch.

At club level he burst on to the scene in 2014 Croatia Zagreb and forced his way into the side well ahead of schedule. Over the last two seasons the diminutive schemer has played 62 league games and scored 8 goals.

He’s only 5ft 7in and change so he may require some bulking up before he is ready for The Premier League. TFF assumes that if Manchester City do sign the youngster he will go immediately back out on loan to continue his progress. Competition for places in the City midfield is already white hot with Yaya Toure not even making the bench for the opening game of the season against Sunderland last weekend.

Comic would be Manchester City’s 9th signing of a busy summer – after Ilkay Gundogan, Aaron Mooy, Nolito, Oleksandr Zinchenko, Leroy Sané, Gabriel Jesus, Marlos Moreno, John Stones who came for a combined total of around £120m – and the club also seems certain to add another goalkeeper before September.
