Manchester United: Bid rejected

Manchester United have reportedly rejected a £19m bid for the services of Morgan Schneiderlin.

Respected British media outlet, The Telegraph, reports:

Everton fail with £19m bid for Manchester United midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin

The 27-year-old, who has been capped 15 times by France, has had a very poor time of it at Manchester United ands steadily drifted out to the peripheries of the squad in his year and a half at the club.

But he remains an excellent player when on form and he has to be regarded as one of the best available talents in the winter market.

Manchester United paid Southampton around £25m for the player in 2015 ands, if these reports have substance, then TFF is quite surprised that United are holding out for more from Everton.

While £19m represents a loss it could be much worse and it’s a good price for a player who has hardly figured in the first team over the last couple of seasons and has been dropped from the France squad.

TFF feels that a deal would be good for Everton and Manchester United.

Everton could use some more real class in their midfield with stalwart Gareth Barry coming to the end of his career.

And the likes of Tom Cleverley simply haven’t stepped up to the mark while the promising Pesci has been sidelined with a serious injury.

TFF wonders whether Everton might still fancy a double raid on Manchester United to also bring the mercurial talents of Memphis Depay to the club in January

Everton fans: worth the cash?
