The 4th Signing? Manchester United linked with South American speedster

Manchester United fans are waiting with bated breath to see who the fourth summer signing will be.

And while much of the speculation has centred around an eye-bulging deal for Paul Pogba other players continue to be linked.

The Daily Mail this afternoon goes with a piece about the potential move for a right-back of some repute.

Manchester United eyeing £25m move for Fabinho as Monaco promise Brazil international he can leave this summer

Monaco have been letting some of their star performers leave as they have tightened their belts over the last few seasons. And Manchester United have no settled right back at the moment – so this story seems much more likely than Joe Allen to Old Trafford anyway.

The 6ft 2in 22-year-old Brazilian has played 4 times for his country since his debut last year and hit a remarkable 8 goals in 47 games for Monaco last season.

He’s quick, adventurous and skilful with the ball at his feet. So he ticks a lot of boxes for Manchester United fans who are used to seeing flying fullbacks at the club.

TFF believes that he would be an excellent capture. But with the highly attacking Luke Shaw on the other side of the defence Jose Mourinho may exercise a little more caution on the right, as he did at Chelsea with Branislav Ivanovic.

Perhaps we are more likely to see Matteo Darmian, Timothy Fosu-Mensah or even Eric Bailly filling in there next season.

But with well over a month left in the summer transfer window, nothing should be discounted.
