Manchester United: More great Pogba News

Theguardian.com

After such a long wait and a transfer which never seemed certain, Manchester United fans are finally breathing a sigh of relief as the main man landed in Manchester today to complete the final details of his massive move back to Old Trafford.

And the latest developments are that the player has now passed his medical with no issues and will be officially presented to the press as early as tomorrow.

British media outlet The Guardian writes:

Paul Pogba passes medical before Manchester United move

The 23-year-old France international landed at Manchester airport by private jet earlier in the day and was whisked by a large entourage, which included his mother, to Carrington where the necessary physical examination was carried out.

Now that’s done some may be dreaming of a weekend debut for the player in Manchester United’s season opener against Bournemouth on Sunday.

But, lest we forget, he hasn’t trained with Jose Mourinho’s squad at all yet, so the very best that the fans can surely hope for is a place on the bench for the buccaneering midfielder.

TFF has to say that we can’t imagine that this deal would have been completed if Jose Mourinho was not at the Manchester United helm.

With no Champions League football for at least a year, Mourinho has sold Pogba into the long-term future of the club – a project which the Portuguese hopes will recreate the glory years of Manchester United.

We tend to think that the competition is starting to feel a little uncomfortable already. Because Mourinho and Manchester United looks ever more like a match made in heaven.
