Manchester United superstar to consider exit from the club – report

It’s been coming for some time and Manchester United superstar Wayne Rooney’s time at the club could be close to an end.

Earlier this week Everton manager Ronald Koeman waxed lyrical about the former Toffees striker and left the door ajar for a sensational return to the club in the summer.

And Sky Sports now reports that the Manchester United lend will consider a return o Everton at the end of the season.

Wayne Rooney will consider a return to Everton at the end of the season, after manager Ronald Koeman told Sky Sports News HQ that he would be interested in signing the striker.

The merseyside man has played 119 times for England and scored 53 goals since his debut in 2003.

At club level he scored 17 in 77 for Everton before hitting 250 in 549 games across 13 trophy-laden seasons at Manchester United.

He has definitely lost the burst of pace which marked him out as a world-class player in his twenties. But the quality on the ball and reading of the game is still there at 31 and he could do a fantastic job for Everton as a number ten or perhaps from even deeper.

It’s a mouth-watering prospect and TFF believes that Everton fans would overlook their long held grudge about him joining Manchester United if e did return to Goodison.
