Report: Klopp signs off on star transfer to Anfield

Where would Liverpool be in the league right now if they had a top keeper?

Ok, the Liverpool back four hasn’t always been watertight this season either. But quality keepers give those in front of them confidence and the likes of Mignolet and Karius have made too many mistakes.

Which is why it confounded many that Liverpool didn’t make a move for Manchester City keeper Joe Hart in the summer.

That wrong will be righted according to a report in the British media in the latest news cycle.

The Sun reports:

Joe Hart set for Liverpool as Jurgen Klopp signs off £20million swoop for Manchester City goalkeeper

The 29-year-old England international who has 70 caps for his country was perceived to have been put out to pasture in Italy after a series of mistakes over the last few years at Manchester City. There was also a lot of speculation about the notion that Hart was less competent with his feet than Pep Guardiola would have liked.

But he’s had a fine season in Italy as his replacement, Claudio Bravo has struggled and the summer could see a big return for the 6ft 5in stopper.

TFF thinks that this would immediately and dramatically improve Liverpool’s defence and, with it, Klopp’s chances of bringing the title back to Anfield.

Hart played 348 times for City over the space of ten seasons. He won the Premier League twice and the FA Cup in that time.

Liverpool fans: is this the ideal solution for in between the sticks?
