Stand out player in the league: Liverpool eye £20m-rated creator – report

It is wonderful to see that Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool seem to be breaking through that glass ceiling of also-rans after decades of underachievement.

Liverpool have played some amazing football in the last 20 years and won the Champions League of course.

But they could now be on the cusp of a new level and some serious Premier League dominance. They are hot on the heels of Chelsea right now and looking like the most convincing side in the division.

Another thing which is interesting about the German at Liverpool is that he seems to be tapping into the Bundesliga for new talent. It’s so hard to get a really good players at your club these days with so many good scouting networks and with so much money sloshing around. But Klopp’s knowledge of the Bundesliga could really go in Liverpool’s favour.

Christian Pulisic has been linked recently but apparently that deal isn’t going to happen and Liverpool might have turned their attention to another creator who is plying his trade in Germany.

British media outlet, The Mirror, reports:

Liverpool eyeing £20million RB Leipzig star Emil Forsberg as Jurgen Klopp chases Christian Pulisic alternative

The Reds chief has grown resigned that Dortmund have no interest in parting with whizkid Pulisic and has turned his attention to the Bundesliga’s standout player

The 25-year-old RB Leipzig number 10 or winger has played for Sweden 24 times and scored three goals since his debut in 2014. And at RB Leipzig he’s been absolutely on fire.

He’s played 64 times and scored 13 goals for his current club in the last couple of years including five goals and 15 appearances this season.

This is a player with a natural football brain. He’s brilliant on the ball, always seems to spot a pass early and is a real team player as being as well as being a genuinely dangerous individual.

And it’s that adaptability that makes this link so interesting. Klopp loves interchangeable forwards and Forsberg is just that – someone who can play on the wing or through the middle.

Liverpool fans – would he get into the first team?
