Rumour: Manchester United linked with irresistible offer for midfielder?

Latest football murmurs in France suggests that Manchester United may be about to make a move for the brilliant Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva.

British media outlet, The Daily Express, passes this one on:

Manchester United make “offer that cannot be refused” for this Monaco star

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho may be at the front of the queue for this guy because of his Portuguese ancestry. The diminutive 5’8″ midfielder is small but an absolute genius on the ball. He was born in Lisbon and has played twelve times for his country since his debut in 2015.

And he’s been an absolute sensation for Monaco. He first moved there in 2013 on loan from Benfica and then signed permanently at the end of that campaign. He has since played three full seasons for the club and scored 28 goals 145 games for the club. He reminds TFF a little bit of Paul Scholes in that he never seems to give away the ball and has an uncanny ability to spot a key pass.

As you can see from his stats he’s also a goalscorer and would be able to share the burden for Manchester United goals next season.

At such a young age he could have a massive career at Manchester United and the team definitely needs more creativity in it. Sadly this bewitching young Monaco side looks like it’s going to be broken up this summer but what better place for Silva to continue to learn his trade than at Manchester United under the Portuguese manager?

Manchester United fans – could you see him slotting into the team alongside Paul Pogba?
