Massive Arsenal Spend? Gunners linked with trio of top talents

To the consternation of some, Arsenal have given Arsene Wenger another two year contract to try to mastermind some serial silverware at the club.

Arsenal always seem so close to breaking through that glass ceiling but the Frenchman hasn’t yet found the formula in the last few years to get them over the line where it comes to a league title or a Champions League medal.

He will be given a huge amount of money to spend in the summer according to latest reports in the British press. But we have heard that before right?

The Daily Mirror reports:

AC Milan’s Colombia international Carlos Bacca is also on their radar, despite turning 31 early next season, as they look for a new striker and wide players.

They could be interested in Leicester’s wantaway winger Riyad Mahrez at the right price and Monaco midfielder Thomas Lemar is another on Wenger’s wish-list.

Mahrez has been linked with a move before and he would be a sensational signing for Arsenal even though he had a quiet season last term. He has the sort of guile, penetration and speed of play that Arsenal really need on the wings.

They have good wingers in terms of Oxlade-Chamberlain and Walcott but neither has the precision of Mahrez.

Carlos Bacca has scored goals throughout his career and would be a real handful in the Premier League. TFF believes he would be suited to England and even at his age he’s an athletic and powerful centre forward who would add depth and accuracy to the forward line.

And Lemar is a brilliant, mobile midfielder with a huge future in the game. He’s technically adept and perhaps has the sort of mettle and nous that Arsenal need in that midfield.

Arsenal fans – a good signing or is he too old?
