Working towards verbal agreement: Arsenal linked with A-lister

This is a very interesting story.

Arsenal are once more being blighted by rumours that they will struggle to hold on to two of their best players as Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil come into the last 18 months of their contracts.

But TFF thinks that the best way to keep them is to keep improving the team with more gifted players.

And the latest name to be linked is certainly one to get Arsenal fans excited.

British media outlet, The Sun, reports:

ARSENE WENGER has called Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic, to ask him if he would like to join Arsenal.

The Bosnian midfielder has answered with enthusiasm and the two are working towards a verbal agreement.

The 26-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina midfielder, who has 72 caps and 11 goals already for his country, only moved to Juventus in the summer after a sparkling five year career at Roma where he played 185 games and scored 30 goals.

The transfer fee was somewhere around 32m Euros and surely Arsenal would be expected to exceed that if they really wanted to briNG this gifted player to the club.

With the brilliant Santi Cazorla now 32 and currently out with a long term injury, Pjanic would be seen by many as the perfect long-term replacement – the man to pull the strings in midfield, to make key passes and to score loads of goals himself.

He’s a truly A-list talent and he’s done really well at Juventus with six goals in 18 games in his short career there. If Arsenal can somehow prise him away from the Italian giant they certainly won’t regret it.

Arsenal fans: is there a better player to bring to the club for this role in the side?
