Chelsea move for one of Europe’s best

The future of Diego Costa remains uncertain and Chelsea continue to be linked with top strikers this summer. The latest to be linked with the club is the brilliant Polish international Robert Lewandowski.

British media outlet, The Daily Mirror, reports:

Chelsea have made a stunning move for Bayern Munich’s goal-scoring superstar Robert Lewandowski.

The Poland international has played 88 times for his country and scored 45 goals. And his club form is equally impressive.

He’s hit a remarkable 110 goals in just 147 appearances for Bayern Munich over the last three seasons.

The 28-year-old scored 103 in 187 for Borussia Dortmund in the four campaigns before his big move and his overall goalscoring record stands at 291 in 479 games in club football.

He is an absolutely sensational striker who TFF believes would be perfect for the Premier League. Because he has a superb touch and also knows how to put himself about. He’s one of the biggest physical specimens in European football in terms of number nines and Chelsea would be getting the finished article but a player with at least three more years of top football in the tank.

He does only have one big contract left in him at the age of 28 but Chelsea could almost guarantee as many or even more goals than Diego Costa has been scoring for the club over the last few years if they did sign Lewandowski.

Let’s take a look at him in action.

Chelsea fans – would this be the perfect replacement for Diego Costa or should you try to hold onto the Spaniard.
