Crunch Time: Tottenham’s Best XI vs Palace and a prediction

Tottenham look in their best form of the season and don’t have too many other concerns now apart from finishing their league campaign strongly.

In fact many of their fans would be wishing that the season could be extended by another 10 games because, if anything, they look stronger than Chelsea right now.

The Blues enjoyed a victory over Tottenham in the semi-final of the FA Cup but Spurs were the dominant side for much of the game and all that they lacked on the day was that cutting edge at the top end to finish things off.

But Tottenham still have a chance in the league and they need to quickly re-focus on winning all of their remaining games. This certainly won’t be one of the easiest ties of the season as Crystal Palace are a side that is improving fast under the management of Sam Allardyce. Big Sam took time to get going but not he’s shaping a solid team again.

The difference at Wembley was Eden Hazard and few teams, let alone Crystal Palace, can boast a player of that sort of quality. But Palace do you have pace on their flanks and will cause Spurs trouble. Tottenham need to be on the front foot from start and get Alli in dangerous positions in the box.

Winks, Lamela and Rose are still injured but apart from that Tottenham have a full complement to pick from and, even though the gambling man might put his money on a draw, we think that Tottenham have real momentum despite their FA Cup defeat and they will come away with three points. So here is our XI for the game. Tottenham fans – discuss.

TFF Prediction: Crystal Palace 1 – Tottenham 2

Tottenham: Lloris, Davies, Vertonghen, Alderweireld, Walker, Wanyama, Dier, Dembele, Eriksen, Kane, Alli
