Manchester City to smash their transfer record again?

After what their manager would probably call a disappointing season Manchester City are wasting absolutely no time in the transfer market this summer and they may well get their major business done before most of their rivals have even dipped into the market.

Having done a deal for the brilliant Monaco midfielder Bernardo Silva they are now looking at a goalkeeper and, according to latest reports, are still in the market for the superb number nine Kylian Mbappe.

British media outlet, The Daily Mail, states:

Manchester City still chasing Monaco striker Kylian Mbappe despite £115m price tag

Even at the tender age of 18 Mbappe has been one of the foremost players in Europe this season. He’s been the best player at Monaco, the surprise package of Europe and a club which reached the semi-finals of the Champions League largely thanks to the goals of the brilliant teenager.

Mbappe scored 26 goals in 44 games for Monaco this season and offers so much attacking threat as well as his goals. Add his debut for France and this has been a memorable year for the young man.

It’s difficult to see where exactly Manchester city would squeeze him into their 11 considering they already possess the talents of Gabriel Jesus and Sergio Aguero. If TFF had all three of these players in a squad they would simply shoehorn them all into the front three as Barcelona have done with Messi, Neymar and Suarez.

Manchester City fans – would you be excited to sign the youngster or is he just one number nine too far?
