Reports have persisted this week that Manchester United are in a battle to sign the brilliant France international Antoine Griezmann.
Griezmann finished third in the Ballon D’or award ceremony for 2016 behind Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi.
And local news outlet, the Manchester Evening News, continues to report that Manchester United are hot on the trail of a player that Manchester City have also been linked with.

Even though Manchester United have a superb striker in Zlatan Griezmann is the sort of striker that the club has possibly not possessed since Robin van Persie.

At just 25 years of age he is one of the hottest properties in world football and has scored a remarkable 66 goals in 128 games for Atletico Madrid since his big move in 2014.
He’s got 9 in 21 for his club this season and although Atletico are one of the modern football superpowers, in terms of results, Manchester United would surely be able to offer a different class of salary altogether.
Griezmann, who played his early career as a winger, has also scored 14 times in just 39 international games for France.
TFF believes that he would be the best signing of 2017 anywhere in Europe, if Manchester United were able to snag him from the brilliant La Liga club.
