The one player who could transform Manchester United

The speculation is going to be rife for the next few months as Manchester United try to get some superb business done in the course of the coming transfer window.

As with most managers, José Mourinho prefers to get his business done early and he will already have submitted a list to the Manchester United hierarchy for the targets that he wants to acquire this summer.

There’s been renewed talk of Gareth Bale coming to the club this week and he’d be a wonderful addition with his pace and ability to penetrate the opposition defence on a frequent basis.

But if TFF could buy one player for Manchester United – one solitary star to make a crucial difference to this XI it would have to be Kylian Mbappe of Monaco.

He is not particularly tried and tested at this point in his career and could easily suffer with second season syndrome. But he was a pure force of nature in this breakthrough campaign face scoring 26 goals in 44 games and causing the opposition so many problems.

He looks like a young Thierry Henry with ability to dribble at pace and the close control that he possesses so naturally.

But the most important thing is his stats – this is a guy who can score goals for fun. And he looks like he’s just going to get better as the years go by.

It appears he is likely to move if the price is right this summer because he’s only going to get more expensive in the coming years.

All the big boys seem to want him and Manchester United can afford to outspend pretty much anyone.
