Of all the signings that Manchester United could make to bolster their attack this summer one name stands out head and shoulders above the rest in terms of quality and explosive excitement.
Because the semi-final first leg of the Champions League between Juventus and Monaco provides another excellent opportunity for Manchester United fans to see the burgeoning talents of the sensational young striker Kylian Mbappe.
It usually takes time even for top strikers to find their goalscoring form at the top level of European football.
But this young man has confounded the rulebook to school almost a goal every game for Monaco in this campaign.
He’s been an absolute sensation and one of the main reasons why Monaco have done so well in Europe this season.
There is of course a risk attached to buying a player so young after only one season of top-flight evidence of his abilities.
But there is a strong sense that this guy is the real deal and whoever signs him is going to take a big leap forward in terms of their European status. Because he looks every bit like the young Brazilian Ronaldo in the way that he dribbles with the ball, his composure and his ability to see things quicker than everyone else.
He’s razor sharp in front of goal, one of the quickest players in the French league and has the dribbling skills to match.
Manchester United fans would also be dribbling if they managed to get this guy at the club next season and we wonder whether José Mourinho will take the gamble and buy a player who could one day become the best in the world.
