There has been the typical flurry of transfer rumours pertaining to Manchester United already this summer even though the window hasn’t opened. But the focus of the speculation has been on players such as Romelu Lukaku and Antoine Griezmann.
British media outlet, The Telegraph however, reports that Manchester United now have another top transfer target for the summer. Unsurprisingly it’s a striker and they reckon that it’s a player from La Liga.
They report:
Alvaro Morata emerges as Manchester United’s top transfer target to succeed Zlatan Ibrahimovic
The more we look at the 24-year-old the more we like him as a potential Manchester United striker. He’s not a dribbler or a man with incredible pace. But he is already a composed and experienced goalscorer. He had an excellent season on loan in Italy and has returned to Real Madrid to score 20 goals this season. He still not number one choice in the side but has emerged as a more central figure over the last campaign.
He’s a really solid number nine who holds the ball up well, has excellent technique and strength.
At just 24 years of age there is so much fuel left in the tank and he could be a top player for Manchester United for the next six years providing they put a lot of pace and craft around him.
Manchester United fans – is this the player to do the business in the latter stages of the Champions league or would he simply be a good Premier League player?
