Manchester United have a high quality and deep squad with lots of stardust sprinkled on it.
But it’s quite clear to TFF that their best player is Anthony Martial.
We think that, given the choice, he’d be the number one pick from the Manchester United squad by many other managers because he has the rare talent of being able to open up the tightest of games at any level.
His pace, skill and bewitching dribbling skills leave defenders for dead. And while he is still developing as a player, we would have the man who scored 17 in 46 games in his debut season in that Manchester United team every week.
So it’s somewhat frustrating for Manchester United fans that he is so regularly left out of the side by Jose Mourinho. Be it a perceived inability to track back, his work rate or simply a lesson in tough love, Jose Mourinho is less than keen to play him regularly.
And that has obviously led the rumour mongers to speculate about his future with British media outlet, The Sun, reporting:
Anthony Martial to quit Manchester United for PSG this summer after ‘falling out with Jose Mourinho’
But Martial done the right thing by quickly responding to those rumours. He went on Twitter to scotch the myths:
The 21-year-old France international, who has 15 caps and one goal for his country since his debut in 2015, has made a decent looking 22 appearances and scored 6 goals for Manchester United this season. But many of those appearances have come off the bench and we sense his frustration at not playing every week – particularly after exploding onto the scene last year.
